Brief Biography of Marion Silverman, creator of Financially Astute
I spent over 20 years in the finance world primarily focusing on complex financial structures and was a frequent presenter at industry conferences. I created Financially Astute because I felt there was a lack of financial literacy among the high school and college students in the greater Atlanta area. I am a speaker on financial literacy as well as a private mentor to individuals. In 2017, I joined Homestretch, a charitable organization that helps homeless families, as a volunteer budget mentor and a presenter of financial literacy to the teens in the program. I hold a B.A. from Vassar College and and M.B.A. in finance from New York University.
